THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW BEFORE ORDERING:

• We only copy a photo that you physically took yourself. No images from books or web sites.
• We will not print copyright protected images/logos or inappropriate material, please do not ask!
• If you are providing a Company Logo make sure to include a signed written statement on leader head from the logo holder that Sugarcraft may copy without providing residuals.
• Print quality is based on the photo you send. All creases and other marks will show on the edible picture.
• We will crop and re-size. You can pre-crop, to make sure the photo fits your desired shape.
• Your photo may not cover the entire page but cuts easily.
• Colors may vary slightly and can not be guaranteed to match.
• Caution if you write a message, make certain that it will fit and be legible, especially for tiny circles.
• Make sure to provide a photo large enough to allow for cropping.
• All pictures uploaded are intended for one sheet only. TIP: You can avoid additional picture costs by combining the pictures yourself using a paintshop program.

Just peel the backing off the Picture and place on your fresh white iced cake. The picture 'melds' into the icing and becomes part of the icing. If using darker color icing, a smear of white icing will need smeared on wherer picture will be placed or color of the icing will bleed through.

Storage: Store flat on a shelf tightly sealed in the zip lock bag provided. Store where light will not shine directly on image for any extended time. No need for refrigeration but can be used on refrigerated icings.

Control: In damp rainy weather, they do absorb moisture from the air and may become sticky. Dry out with a hairdryer or microwave on half power for 30 seconds. In winter with the furnace on they will dry out quicker and are easier to use.

NEVER try to force the Picture off the backing! Try laying photo face down on clear surface and walk the backing off the image. If all else fails, cut the backing off around the picture and place on cake. You will not be able to eat it but you will get the use of the picture.

Examples of what to send and not to send:

Tips: Digital pictures that are too small or badly focused will not enlarge clearly and print blurry.
Please try not to exceed 1 megabyte per picture and email as .jpg/jpeg format.

The white space around the square cannot be avoided. It is advisable to use your graphics software to make the photo into a circle before you send it. (I use Photo Express graphics software sold here)
 

SQUARE PHOTO SENT:  If you do not send enough of the photo so that we can crop it into a circle you will have white space around the photo. You can easily cut it off or leave on. Notice the message is too small to read also.

OBLONG PHOTO SENT:  If you send a long narrow  photo to be made into a circle we will crop as much of the face as possible. There needs to be plenty of space around the face to crop to a circle.

If you send too wide a photo for business card sizes the ratio will be kept the same and may not cover the entire space.

As mentioned on the Today Show with Martha Stewart on 1/26/2011 you can order printed edible photo's from www.sugarcraft.com or print them yourself. This requires a dedicated printer, scanner and graphic program along with using edible food colorings instead of ink and frosting sheets.
