Carole Faxon's Carousel Enterprises Hand-cut Stencils - a Sugarcraft exclusive
Dolores and Sue are terribly happy to bring you Carole's perfectly cut stencils. Regrettably Carole Faxon is no longer with us and we have lost a wonderful Airbrush Expert as well as a close friend. She will be remembered here at Sugarcraft always. We hope that you will enjoy using Carole's stencils and think of her often. Stencils are designed to fit a 10 inch or 9x13 inch cakes and look wonderful centered on larger cakes. Simply lay the stencil on your dry cake icing and airbrush in the black lines. Lift off stencil and airbrush in the colors. Many of her stencils also include the positive part to lay over the negative to prevent over spray while spraying other colors. Stencils are easily rinsed clean with warm water. Store flat.

SILK SCREENS - DISCONTINUED, NOT MANY LEFT - Here is the best kept secret in town. Your customers need never know how easy it is. Create beautiful cakes like magic using Magic Mist Screen designs. The screen size is 13" x 18". $50.00 each. Simply lay the screen on the iced cake a spray with the airbrush all over it. The color will only fall through the outline. Remove the screen and airbrush in any other colors you want.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE OF MAGIC-MIST™ SCREENS
Preparation of the surface of the cake is important. Be sure the area to be air brushed is smooth and level. A slightly rounded or convex surface is better than concave. Ice your cake ahead of time to give the icing a chance to dry or form a thin crust. If your icing is wet or sticky, put the cake into the freezer for 5 to 10 minutes in order to freeze the SURFACE ICING ONLY. This will help prevent the screen's sticking to the icing. The screen should be kept as close to the-surface of the icing as possible. If the screen is not touching the icing, the sprayed image may be fogged or blurred. Always spray straight down through the screen for best results. The designs are transferred onto the cake by air brushing black or a dark spray color through the screen. Finally, remove the screen and fill in the design using appropriate colors.

CARE OF SCREENS
The screens are waterproof and can be easily cleaned by soaking in warm soapy water and then rinsing and air drying. If it is necessary to use the screen immediately, blot both sides with a towel or put in front of a fan to dry. DO NOT EXPOSE TO HIGH TEMPERATURE. If your screen should become loose in its frame, it is possible to tighten it. Remove the spline on one side at a time and carefully stretch the screen and then replace the spline. Should your screen ever get torn or cut, it can be repaired with fingernail polish or tape. With proper care your screens will last for years.

Custom-designed screens, such as business logos or other art work, can be made at a nominal additional charge. Send art work or a sketch of your idea for an estimate.
